Presenza costante, è lei che sorveglia
su ogni respiro, sbadiglio e starnuto.
A volte s’infuoca e brucia ogni cosa,
ma è solo il suo modo per ricostruire.”

Of simple and thoughtful gestures,
she is the one who prepares the coffee in the morning
and who then tucks in the blankets in the evening.
With a thousand talents, she gives just enough of them,
because she is embarrassed by your compliment
and she always avoids with ease
the precise center of attention.
Constant presence, she is the one who watches
on every breath, yawn and sneeze.
Sometimes she sets herself on fire and burns everything,
but it’s just her way of rebuilding.”
